THIS IS WHY ANGELINA AND CROQUE MONSIEUR MAKE A DELIGHTFUL COUPLE

So, have you ever met Angelina? Or Croque Monsieur?

They are quite some characters, and when they get together, they make quite a couple.

Je suis une gourmande, alors je ne peux pas compter mes calories. (Here, I said it again!)

Check out the article below, to see what Angelina and Croque mean to each other, and watch the video that’ll make you want to meet them again and again!

They say Paris is the City of Love.

And when I was there in October I found that to be true.

I wasn’t there with a lover… or a husband… but by myself and to meet a new group of women.

I was there to immerse myself in the art that found everywhere in this magnificent city.  To paint like a mad woman.  I was there to walk through the streets, absorb the magic, and delight in the amazing food.

So I packed up my paintbrushes and rolled up my canvas and set out on an adventure.

I stopped in at a little art store next to the Louvre to purchase paints.  Buying art supplies next to this most famous of museums made me feel a kinship with all the artists who had walked this path before me.

Painting on the banks of the Seine River transported me back to the days of old… and in my imagination I could see the stylish women of olden day Paris strolling down the street.  And I fell in love with the idea of painting those women in all of their glory.

I wandered the streets, popping into a cafe now and then for a café au lait.

I had the decadent hot chocolate made famous by Angelina’s Restaurant.  And I ate the most amazing wild mushroom risotto… and the delicious Croque Monsieur… my taste buds were delighted by a warm goat cheese and tomato salad… and I had a full on love affair with my chocolate eclair.

I wasn’t counting calories, and I wasn’t watching my fat grams.

I was savoring each bite.  Tasting food as if for the first time.  And I fell in love with the delightful flavors dancing across my palette.

The women in my group were all amazing.

One of my intentions on the trip was to get to know these dynamic women and go home with 12 new friends.

There was R, a woman who decided on this trip to pick up her life and move to Paris… and she did!!!

I loved M, who had never dared to wear a red sleeveless dress before… but by the end of the week was so confident that I am sure the singer of “Lady In Red” had her in mind as she strolled down the walk with her new red dress on.

There was the gorgeous and sophisticated K, who was just learning to see the beauty reflected in the mirror that was so immediately evident to all of us.

We can’t forget S, who has a secret smile that radiates sunlight.

And then there was T, our hostess, who exuded love and peace and found nothing but joy in watching other women grow.

And I fell in love with this group of women who traveled across the world to find each other.

Our hostess encouraged us to not only enjoy our time together, but to savor our solitude.

So I walked.

And I sat in a garden and just watched the world go by.  I took in the art.  I had my portrait painted on a street corner.  Took my time, noticing the world around me.

And I journaled… I filled an entire journal with the thoughts and feelings in my head.  I spent time getting to know myself better, paying attention to my body, my mind and my emotions.

And I fell in love with my self and my very own life.

Paris… the City of Love.  And this girl found many kinds of love to celebrate!
