I am new to the French language. Very new.
As I get older, it becomes harder to be a novice. Or at least harder to admit.
As Llyane observantly asked me a few weeks ago, “Brian, you aren’t used to being a novice, are you?”
Very true, with a little raw emotion.
I’m sure it was intentional, but the next lesson, Llyane asked me to have fun with some of the pictures used in our early lessons.
It was a simple exercise to tell as story about the picture from my perspective.
I love to dream, and often daydream, sometimes during my French lessons. 🫣
This is a simple picture of a young girl in a classroom, pondering, with her pencil in her book.
It reminds me of my posture as a young boy when I would be daydreaming in the classroom.
I wrote my musings in the form of a simple poem, in language of a young boy, much like I feel now learning French for the first time.
