AN AMERICAN IN PARIS – FRENCH IMMERSION: DAY 1
Café viennois in the Parisian terminal 1 and it took me quite a while to get home from there…
But a huge croque monsieur sure helped me get over the freezing 7-hour “sleep” in Air Transat.
Smooth flight though.
Carried a large luggage up and down the subway stairs in Paris – there’s no better fitness – I hate it! 🙂
Preparing for our first activity.
Today: Welcome dinner and conversation at Restaurant de l’Opéra Garnier with my client, Troy.
Bienvenue à Paris !
We kind of lost each other today (but where is the fun without someone getting lost?), but we finally figured it out!
The place looks much more elegant than in the pictures, when you are there.
Don’t think it’s not amazingly beautiful, but it’s ‘nice casual’ or ‘semi formal’ the way casting directors like to call it.
It’s comfortable (and I like that) – people coming here for a suit and tie party as well as a lovely couples’ evening dinner. Most of the tables inside are set for couples, so you can figure out that it’s used mainly this way.
Outside, huge square umbrellas cover an area, again, with small tables set with 2 chairs, which you can put together for a larger party.
Our menu:
Acte I
Tomorrow is a long day and we wake up early, so I’ll leave you with this for now.
