Most of my life I climbed the mountains of Europe with my backpack as my best friend. And a group of other lovers of nature who couldn’t spend two weekends in a row in the city.

That’s where I see my thoughts and I can hear my heart beating for what I love most.

That’s where I remember why I do what I do and find all the motivation I need, and all the inspiration that’s waiting for me, until the next time I’m in the middle of nature.

Here’s an article written in French by Inna, one of my very consistent clients, about her favorite place, where words flow to her in the language she adores. This will also show YOU how far you could go if you stay on your game and keep going for your dream of becoming bilingual.

I have been studying French with Llyane for over 2 1/2 years. I started as a true beginner, focusing on all aspects of learning a new language – grammar, reading, writing, oral comprehension, and speaking.

With Llyane’s help I am now able to tackle intermediate texts and newspaper articles. My understanding of the spoken language is increasing as I try to listen to podcasts intended for my level.

Writing has become a weekly habit of mine and an opportunity to expand my appreciation for french culture. I find myself using a dictionary to choose the most appropriate meaning rather than simply translating words.

My goal is not only to speak the language but to enjoy the rich culture and the people who speak it. That’s what really makes it a fun learning journey for me.

Une visite à Sedona

Ça fait la deuxième fois que nous sommes allés à Sedona en Arizona.

L’expérience de Sedona est magique. Un paysage étonnant de montagnes et de canyons de roche rouge brillant. Un mélange magnifique de désert, de forêts de sapin et de conifères, des petits ruisseaux qui se battent pour survivre à la chaleur.

Quand vous approchez la ville en conduisant le paysage est absolument époustouflant, d’une beauté écrasante, majestueuse.

On peut découvrir des centaines de plus beaux chemins de randonnée du monde. On peut séjourner dans le luxe et le confort. On peut se détendre et se faire chouchouter dans les élégants spas.

La ville est connue pour ses centres spirituels et de retraite.

Pour les amateurs d’art il y a beaucoup de galeries d’art qui présentent les œuvres d’artistes et d’artisans locaux.

Le soir après un délicieux dîner on peut regarder des étoiles dans un ciel clair.

Chaque jour pendant notre court séjour après avoir un bon petit déjeuner nous nous sommes mis en route vers les montagnes et les canyons pour explorer de nouveaux sentiers.

Un jour il pleuvait et nous avons vu l’herbe verte pousser très rapidement en une journée, comme par magie.

Nous avons pris les sentiers modérés à avancés avec l’élévation pour profiter de la variété des paysages et des vues magnifiques. Avec les bâtons de randonnée, de l’eau et des barres de chocolat nous avons pu relever les défis.

Le printemps est une saison parfaite pour y aller, grâce à ce climat doux. C’est la meilleure période pour toutes les activités sportives parce que l’été est vraiment trop chaud.

Nous avons pu recharger nos batteries après avoir passé 4 journées actives remplies d’activités saines et relaxantes.

Voilà pourquoi on dit que « Dieu a créé le Grand Canyon mais il vit à Sedona ».
