HOW TO EXPERIENCE FRENCH LUXURY THE RIGHT WAY AT LADURÉE
So, we met in a cold day of November, on the 20th Street.
The Internet can be viewed as an artificial, inauthentic way to meet likeminded people, or you can give it a chance to show you what it can change your life.
In this case (like many others before) it brought me closer in space to a client whose story and desires are bigger than life itself. And I feel very fortunate to be instrumental in supporting her dreams to once live in Paris.

[New York en français] Day 1
Cathy has family in France, and was feeling that she was losing the language, because she didn’t have anyone to practice with, on a regular basis. Having a good grasp on the conversation was also important, because she wants to raise her daughter in a bilingual home.
And so she decided to come in my French Immersion Retreat in the Big Apple, which fit perfectly with her availability at the moment. The immersion in Paris was going to be the next step.
We warmed up (en français) in Ladurée restaurant in SoHo (South of Houston, a National Historic Landmark), where we had Salade Ladurée, Salade aux Saint-Jacques, and (way too many) macarons.
For those with cooking talents, here are the ingredients of the salads that made us reconsider the idea that Ladurée could be more than just a macaron place.
Salade Ladurée
Arugula salad, small artichokes, green beans, dried tomatoes, green asparagus, mozzarella cheespumpkin seeds and crispy homemade chips served with a citrus vinaigrette
Salade roquette, artichauts poivrade, haricots verts, asperges vertes, tomates séchées, mozzarella, graines de courge, pesto,huile d’olive, jus de citron et pamplemousse
Salade aux Saint-Jacques
Pan seared sea scallops on lamb’s lettuce and brick paper with almond butter, kidney beans and sun-dried tomato sauce
Saint Jacques poêlées, servies chaudes sur un lit de mâche et de feuilles de bricks n appées de beurres d’amande, haricots rouges et vinaigrette de tomates séchées
