SAVING THE BEST FOR THE LAST DAY – FRENCH IMMERSION: DAY 7

SaharJimmy-immersion day7What we did today was something we had anticipated to be the best of the immersion, reason why I have left it for the last day.

Going again to a place we loved dearly in April proves that some places in Paris are not meant to be visited only once.

This, coupled with a first-ever experience, could only create an unforgettable last day.

Masks at Le Louvre – Sahar et Jérémy

What could be the place that we both wanted to see again, like a dear old friend? No other than Le Louvre.

There are other museums, squares, stores, even la Seine in the area, and yet Le Louvre has a je-ne-sais-quoi that drives us to say ‘hello’ and stay for lunch.

He treated us well, with Exhibition Masks, Masquerades, and Mascarons.

Then, in the evening, we went to see the play Sahar et Jérémy at Le théâtre de Paris – a short one-hander brilliantly produced and acted, which was the utmost test of the language acquired so far.

After the play, we started to chat and asked each other what was the best moment of the week and we agreed on Jardin de Trianon.

Needless to say, I recommend that you go there – now we may want to see it again, and finish what we started this time around.

We finished full circle, with a café at L’entracte, in front of l’Opéra Garnier, just where we met for our first dinner and conversation, the first day of this immersion.

Then walked down to the Seine, and saw tour Eiffel, winking at us because she knows we’ll be back soon. I blew kisses to her and ended it with a secret promise.

The promise can only be divulged next time, in February, so stay tuned to be amazed and enticed, tested and totally changed.
