THERE’S A SURPRISE WAITING FOR YOU IN THE VERSAILLES GARDENS

So, have you ever been in an immersion retreat, only you and your teacher?

Did you ever have 100% of their attention for yourself, for 7 days in a row?

If not, you will find below how a French immersion retreat in Paris 1:1 works.

For now, I’ll just say that, in his second immersion in Paris, Troy and I didn’t want to spend the day in chateau de Versailles again – we visited the castle in our first trip – now we had time to go off the beaten path and find places that would surprise us.

Read the article below to find out what surprise discovery we made in the Versailles gardens, and watch the video for some French worth getting out and having fun with.

(This week, verb SORTIR – to get out / exit)

Every immersion is different, and even for Troy, we went for different activities in each one of his trips.

Of course, Versailles was on his list, but the main focus is the conversation.

And, as we were more focused on our conversation, our steps led us near the Petit Trianon – an unexpected, wild beauty, very much like Marie Antoinette herself; a rebel landscape, very different from the manicured Versailles gardens, where you could see her protest against the strict rules of the royal court in every bush and waterfall.

After meandering through this beautiful corner of tamed wilderness, we discovered Le temple de l’amour – where Cupid was patiently waiting for his next victims.

If you want to marvel at this sight, and if the weather loves us enough this September, in the French Immersion Retreat 1:1, we can definitely include this park too. Careful: this little angel we love to hate, with his mischievous smile, may call you to visit again and again.
